Minsk Region has received a prestigious international award for outstanding contribution to cooperation with China. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

The International Twin Cities Forum – 2024 was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, on November 17-20. The event brought together over 700 representatives of local authorities from 11 countries, and Minsk Region also took part in the competition. Traditionally, the best twin regions were chosen at the forum.

The central region of Belarus received an award in the nomination “For outstanding contribution to cooperation with China”.

Minsk Region was not nominated for participation in the competition by chance. In May of this year, the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin, as part of a working visit, took part in the Forum of Economic Cooperation of Twin Cities and the Forum of Twin Regions, the VI International Trade and Investment Fair of Western China.
