You can also get tested for HIV at a healthcare facility that has a treatment room. A health worker will conduct a confidential consultation, then take a blood sample from a vein. After the test, the results and recommended actions are usually discussed.

In addition, you can buy an express HIV test for saliva at the pharmacy – it is easy to use. The result will be ready in 15 minutes. The accuracy of the test is quite high, according to some data, it is close to 99%. A positive express test result is not yet a diagnosis. If you receive a positive or invalid result, additional examination at a health care institution is necessary to establish your HIV status.
